Did you know that this woman refused to take her husband off life support and late

It is possibly the most difficult choice, when faced with the question about taking your loved one off the life support machine. There are clear arguments to both sides of this, and I certainly wouldn’t want to be the one in this position.

However, after Matt Davis had a severe injury to the brain after being involved in a near fatal motorbike accident, he was left on a life support machine, in a coma. He was left with a 10% chance of coming out of the coma, and so, the doctors suggested to his wife, whom he’d been married to for only 7 months, that the support machine was turned off.

Danielle’s, Matt’s wife, belief and confidence in her husband paid off though.

We didn’t really have a chance to start our life together, I wasn’t going to give up.

Due to the unlikeliness of him waking up, he was taken back to his home, where Danielle, and Matt’s mother both cared for him around the clock. Then, the unlikely happened. He woke up. Although he had no recollection of his fairly new wife, he was very glad that he’d married her!

Although the recovery was extremely slow, it did happen, with a lot of rehab, and he is now showing good signs of improvement. The dating and marriage hasn’t been remembered, but they’re just getting to know each other, and who knows… maybe they’ll have a second wedding.

He drives himself to do yoga, and Danielle is also trying to fundraise so that he can have a personal trainer, in an effort for him to be walking properly again!

I don’t know what I’d have done in this situation, but I would hope that if I was in that way, someone would have enough confidence in me, to keep me alive!
